The stones are kept in a stainless steel water tank which is heated to a temperature of 55 degrees C, the temperature is regulated by a digitaly conteroled thermostat so there is no chance of burning you. The blood and lymph that is moved around the body is 10x that of manual massage, therefore 1 stroke of LaStone = 10 by hand. This makes the treatment very powerful indeed.

Most people know that heat brings blood to an area, but if you have an injury then heat is the last thing you should use on that area so we warm the area up with the hot stones and then use frozen marble to drain the blood out of an injured site, once the blood has been removed from a muscle I can then feel for any injury without having to use deep tissue techniques which can be painful.

Once I have given therapeutic massage as well as other physical therapy that is needed I then re-introduce the warm stones which bring blood back too the area, the difference this time is that acid and waste products have been removed and fresh blood with fresh nutrient and oxygen rich blood then flows through the muscle and this is what speeds up your healing.

Chilled marble stones are used for their cooling, decongesting and cleansing action.They have a refreshing and invigorating action on the body.
